MACRO APO-ULTRON 35mm F2 X-mount is a manual focus large-diameter standard macro lens optimized for the image sensor of Fujifilm X system cameras as an interchangeable lens exclusively for Fujifilm X-mount. Equipped with electronic contacts and information disclosed by Fujifilm Co., Ltd. enables highly reliable electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of a telecommunications-compatible body and the latest firmware enables Exif information, focus check, and shooting distance linked display, as well as in-body image stabilization and parallax correction for certain models. When attached to a model that does not support electrical contacts, you can enable aperture-priority auto shooting by setting the camera settings to allow release without a lens.
The lens construction uses the latest optical system that uses 3 pieces of anomalous partial dispersion glass out of 9 elements in 6 groups.In addition to the apochromatic design, which produces natural colors without color bleeding, the lens has an open F value of F2, making it a macro lens with a large diameter yet compact style. A front focus method is used for focus adjustment, making it possible to shorten the extension compared to methods that extend the entire optical system, while ensuring stable image quality from long distances to close-up.
The aperture blade consists of 10 blades, and the aperture ring is directly connected to the opening and closing of the aperture blade, similar to Voigtlander VM mount and mirrorless mount lenses. You can enjoy the comfortable feeling of manual focusing as the lens group is extended inside the all-metal lens barrel, as well as the sensation of directly operating the mechanism when opening and closing the aperture.
The shortest shooting distance is 0.163m (1:2 magnification), and the working distance from the subject is 0.06m when the hood is attached. In addition to the shallow focus provided by the close-up shooting effect, it expands the possibilities of shooting by taking advantage of the large bokeh characteristic of large-diameter macro photography. This lens is designed to be highly portable and suitable for a wide range of shooting situations, from table photography to portraits and landscapes, as well as macro photography.
