NOKTON Vintage Line 28mm F1.5 Aspherical is a wide-angle lens that combines three elements: large aperture, compact size, and extremely excellent optical performance. While achieving an extremely bright F1.5 for a 28mm wide-angle lens, the filter diameter is kept to φ43mm, and the overall length from the mount surface is short at 45.5mm, giving it an overall sleek style.
The radically designed lens barrel is equipped with an optical system consisting of 10 elements in 8 groups that uses two aspherical lenses on both sides. It exhibits extremely excellent optical performance from the maximum aperture of F1.5. The shortest shooting distance has been achieved from 0.7m linked to the rangefinder (depending on the camera attached) to 0.5m by using a helicoid that can extend further.
Type I uses aluminum for the exterior metal, making it lightweight and maneuverable at 250g. Reminiscent of modern classic lenses from the 1970s, Type I finishes are available in matte black paint or silver.
The optional hood with slit LH-6 (sold separately) is compatible.
The optical design of this lens has been optimized for use with rangefinder-linked digital and film cameras, but it can also be used with mirrorless digital cameras using a mount adapter, making it compatible with shooting on a variety of platforms beyond rangefinder-linked cameras.
